Maximilien Raphael Aquari (also known as Aquarius) is a German researcher, magician and author. He is the current president of ARISVA Foundation since July 4, 2023. He also currently holds the rank of active Z-Magister IV and represents the ARISVA Permanent Council. Previously he represented Central Europe, North and Central America.

M. R. Aquari, in addition to his research and work as an author on personal development and the human self, is also committed to actively educating people on metaphysics and the supernatural. Among other things, he helps people to correctly identify and recognize supernatural phenomena and anomalies. In 148 cases, he acted as a mediator between affected persons and the phenomena they were confronted with.

Aquari's expertise spans various systems and traditions of Magic and Taubra. His primary practise is focused on the Saiðaz tradition, a tradition of Magic from which numerous systems of Magic originate, such as the Old Norse Seiðr systems. Aquari uses the term "Magician" himself due to its general familiarity and easy recognition, however criticizes the development of current popular definitions and variants of the same term. According to Aquari, intense practice and understanding are crucial.

"The systems of true and actual Magic are always functional and practical systems. Magic must work, otherwise it is not Magic. This is a key difference to the vast majority of contemporary religions and belief systems. Therefore, mere belief alone is not enough. Magic requires bringing about change and so deliberately."
